How to beat Driving Charges!

So you’ve been pulled over by the police, and you are looked at being charged with drink driving. Is there anything you can do?

Well, it depends. Drink driving is a summary offence, and this means that you have to be charged within 12 months of the incident occurring.

If you are charged outside this time-limit, then the charges will have no effect as they can not be filed.

Also, if the police have not correctly specified the charges you are facing, then this rule means that the charge can not be amended more than 12 months after it was filed.
